Christian Lühmann GmbH was founded in 1882 in the County of Hoya, Lower Saxony, as a retail company for agricultural supplies. Today, the Lühmann Group is managed by the sixth generation and has developed into an energy service provider operating throughout Germany. In addition to operating more than 200 service stations under its own CLASSIC brand as well as the Aral and Total brands, the company distributes lubricants in Germany under the CLASSIC brand and maintains a global dealer network under this name. True to its mission statement, the Lühmann Group is involved in various projects and initiatives related to synthetic and other fuels.
